Dustograms Series
Collaborative work with conceptual artist Kim Brown.
This is a series of forty-one images.
All gelatin silver prints photograms with hand-stitched dust, unique, either 8 x 10 or 14 x 11 inches, 2004
This is a body of work that has required experimentation with unconventional materials as well as focused creative energy based on a collaborative process responding to direct contact of person, materials, and place through a series of conversations, observations and experiments. The theme for this work is to illustrate ephemeral, transitory, fleeting, surface evidence as proof of life and develop a visual language that pushes the conventional boundaries historically related to both photography and dust as mediums.
